About Axanton

Axanton has the unique technology platform for the preparation of a drug, for use against aging associated diseases. The technology is based on the discovery that the post-transcriptional modification of proteins, establishes an altered network of these proteins which leads to metabolic disorder with aging and the development of disease.

The drug technology targets the altered network of proteins leading to the termination of cell degeneration. Specifically the new targets are the regulatory sequences, which have been modified stably and irreversibly by small molecules from e.g. pollution and cigarette smoke.

The drugs are antibodies against these modified regulatory sequences. The antibodies are used only as a flag for immune recognition. They boost the immune system of the host against the modified proteins and are able to eliminate them.

The normal, physiological network is restored and this leads to the healing of the disease or its prevention.

This technology is protected by 4 patents (Malina H). These patents protect the peptide used for the drug preparation, and the molecules used for the modification and therapy.
